Why I am blogging......

I started this blog to up-date others on the day-to-day events of our family. As the children grew older, and I grew wiser, I realized I wanted to change my direction, and the children wanted to be ommitted from the blog completely. I hope to still manage to include them from time to time but perhaps just through pictures. I am searching for my niche, and way to help lighten the load of others and perhaps lead others to my savior, Jesus Christ. I am focusing on "What really matters" and hopefully, I can help others in some small productive way. While I am changing gears, I will still be throwing in random thoughts, recipes and etc. I am glad you stopped by and bear with me, as I begin to grow and span my wings and fly in a new direction!

Whew..time sure does fly...

I cannot believe how this summer has zip zapped away. It seems like maybe four weeks ago school was over and bam here it is starting.

I am beginning to "think" about having a yard sale. I love getting it out of the house but the getting all the stuff out of the house kills me. I have boxes under my carport so I am at least entertaining the ideal.

I am spoiled in the sense I have been out of the school traffic since Kyle has gone to the HS. Kallie took him last year, but since she has graduated it will be me. It is funny, sometimes I get in the traffic and it doesn't bother me, but then there are other times I just want to get a megaphone (sp) and yell pull up!!! Ok everybody knows what I am talking about. The dreaded circle in front of the HS gym. Why is it so hard to pull up and let several kids unload instead of pulling half way up and letting maybe three???? Please tell me. Lord knows if I was to politely honk at someone to pull up, Kyle would die of embarrassment, or I would have a Momma on me like stink. (she would not have her clothes on either, it would be pj's and house shoes) And another thing, would someone please tell me when it became ok to wear your pj's out in public?? I have been over to school several times and it does not have to even be in the morning and I see Mommas in their pj's!!! And at Walmart, --ok I will stop ranting but people please tell me why!!!!love and peace to all

God doesn't need me I need HIM!!!

I always write in my Bible and I came across this written in the front. Amen!!

Sometimes I find all kind of excuses to not do something. But I have realized I am only hurting myself by not helping others or by chosing to look the other way. Also, when I do chose to not do what needs to be done I am not honoring God. I apologize for my choices. I WILL be stronger and more active; my light may dim but NEVER will it burn out. love and peace to all

Back to Work...Monday

I had to get up and TRY to get it going this morning. Two cups of coffee and a diet coke sure did help!!! Today was my first day back to work after an extended vacation. I feel rested and refreshed so the vacation worked. Last night I did the usual 9:00 pm panic thing. Oh me, time sure does fly-but I quickly began thinking how blessed I am to have a job, a vacation, a family, etc. So my outlooked changed from poor me to blessed me!!!

I have been thinking........about starting a blogger, blogger reader, or just anyone- prayer chain. I think the best way is by text. If you are interested just let me know. I do not think we have to be specific about our prayers unless you desire, however it helps to pray anytime, and we are told to bear each others burdens, so I thought this might be away to share and care. If interested the details will follow. Have a good week. love and peace to all.

Happy Birthday Kyle..He got his Drivers' Permit (watch out)

Fifteen years ago this morning @ 8:13 am (to be exact) we were blessed with Kyle. We cannot believe he is fifteen years old. Time has gone by so quickly. I remember being told when we first had the kids that time would fly. Of course we did not believe it. Our kids were both colic kids, the crying almost drove us to the nut house. Kyle was born with a hernia and cried every day all day until his was 3 months old and he had emergency surgery to repair it. After that he slept all night, and Kallie began sleeping all night when she was 6 weeks old. Anyway, when we were going through that we thought just please get us through this, well, we made it and it has just been a blur. From diapers to walking to school, what a wonderful ride. We are so proud of both of our kids. But today is Kyle Alan Haley's day!!! Happy 15th Birthday!! We are proud of you and love you. Be safe and yes I am going to say it--make wise choices. We love you ----Dad and Mom

WW......Wonderful Weekend

We stayed at the lake this weekend in a house we rented way back in the middle of the winter. It was beautiful, to say the very least. I enjoyed every minute of my family being there and the water is just right. However, if you have never experienced the lake on a holiday weekend, whew it can be so dangerous. We were sitting back out of the main channel and a party boat decided to circle around us and several families behind us, just to be seen I guess. I almost had a heart attack when one of the guys on that boat decided to do a back flip off the side and then hung onto the boat while the motor was running. I just knew he was going to be hurt badly, but he made it!!!! Thankfully!!!!

We did all the usual grilling on the boat, swimming, tubing, wake boarding, etc. We did see Barry, Alesha, and Colby and hung out with them for awhile.

I hope everyone had a great Fourth of July!!! Summer is fly-ing. love and peace to all---
