Why I am blogging......

I started this blog to up-date others on the day-to-day events of our family. As the children grew older, and I grew wiser, I realized I wanted to change my direction, and the children wanted to be ommitted from the blog completely. I hope to still manage to include them from time to time but perhaps just through pictures. I am searching for my niche, and way to help lighten the load of others and perhaps lead others to my savior, Jesus Christ. I am focusing on "What really matters" and hopefully, I can help others in some small productive way. While I am changing gears, I will still be throwing in random thoughts, recipes and etc. I am glad you stopped by and bear with me, as I begin to grow and span my wings and fly in a new direction!

Calling All Prayers.......

Kat's dad Hubert Hall is very ill. He is having surgery at this time, and has lots of medical problems. It is a scary time for Kat and her family. Please pray from them.

Also, please pray for my buddy Ginger Dunn's dad, Ozle Allen. He is also ill and trying to improve after receiving a pacemaker. Prayer is powerful and praying for friends and family is a blessing in itself. Please keep these families and gentlemen in your thoughts and prayers.

Oh No it's Monday, almost......

Where does all my "free" time go?????? Just yesterday it way three days before Thanksgiving and I was feeling good about all the time I had to get things done. And before I could wink, it is Sunday night and I am feeling sad that all of last week has gone by so quickly. I did manage to get many things accomplished; house alittle more orangized, some shopping done, Christmas up, Thanksgiving down and done, one bathroom in the middle of renovation, stomach virus, (yuck, yuck) dog groomed, senior pics ordered, time with family,:), whew!

Today I visited my new neighbor Lisa. I am so proud she is just across the yard from me. We are just good friends, that share laughs, cries, and the same humor. I am so happy she is near.

We ate supper with Uncle Darrell, and Aunt Dawn , and Chase. We love being with them as much as Kyle does!

Time really does get away---I am taking it all in and enjoying every moment. HOpe everyone has a great week, remember Mondays=lots of coffee:)))))

Loving Thanksgiving but........

I have been so busy and unable to blog. Thanksgiving was good, we enjoyed being with family. The plan was to come to our house, however, plans changed when I got up Wednesday with the stomach virus. Yuck!!! However, twelve hours later, I was ok. We went to Pa's and Griggy's and even though I was not hungry my family was and everything turned out great. Kallie and Evan ate with us then headed to Evan's house and ate with his family and then we all gathered at Pa and Janice's. Kyle seemed to enjoy himself, but duck season open Friday morning and he has been waiting on this since last season. He is a lucky boy, his cousin Chase takes him to his blind and hunts. He has been gone since Thursday night. They hunt every weekend and whenever they can during the week until it closes. I am glad he has Chase and Dawn and Darrell, he loves to go to their house and be with them. I think he is their entertainment!

Christmas decorations are up at our house. But I am already needing the lake, beach or some kind of water and sun. I know, winter is not even offically here and I am already longing for the hot sun. I just love it.

I hope everyone had a great holiday. It goes by so-o fast.

Weekend Plans

What a wacky, crazy, long but short week!? If you understand that you are in my mind-set. I am happy it is over and the weekend is here. I hope to go "junkin" tomorrow and also do some "real shopping. I am an internet shopper so for me to actually go shop it usually does not last long. Enjoy the weekend and find a way to get a---way:)

What we need is each other....

Have you ever thought about how lonely it would be if we did not have each other? I sometimes enjoy being at home alone, but I am always ready for everyone to return. I enjoy talking to old friends and catching up and sharing old memories. Mark and I talk for hours about whatever pops up.

I realize that when my time is up all that will really matter is relationships, with God and someone special just to hold my hand. Thank you God for helping me to understand.

We need each other:)

Information Overload.....

May I have a rocking chair, please? I often tell the ladies I work with that I am going to go home and rock in the corner!!! Overwhelmed is an understatement for me at the present. (for everyone!) When I come home in the afternoon I quickly turn the TV on Barefoot Contessa. This is my thirty minutes of hmmmmmm! I love, love, love her. Then I usually start a load of clothes and supper, etc. sound familiar? But if I just happen to flip the channel to 2, 4, or 5, or even CNN loom and gloom sits in, followed by dark storm clouds. I listen to the radio daily in my office, and often turn it down or off because storm clouds are developing. If I happen to have time to look at MSN on the internet often the clouds have developed on that site as well. I know that this country is struggling (to say the least) however, what is being done to help? Yes, gas is down, amen, but it seems someone needs to put their Superman cape on and fly through and rid us of the threating EF4 tornado! (why is it referred to as an EF now instead of just a F?) sorry ADD again. I am finding it hard to even think Christmas when all I hear is, now is not the time to but anything or make any big decisions.

I pray that our leaders will make good choices for our country. One thing I do know for sure.....I do not know what the future holds, but I do know who holds the future. Thank God for his Son and his saving grace.
