Why I am blogging......
I started this blog to up-date others on the day-to-day events of our family. As the children grew older, and I grew wiser, I realized I wanted to change my direction, and the children wanted to be ommitted from the blog completely. I hope to still manage to include them from time to time but perhaps just through pictures. I am searching for my niche, and way to help lighten the load of others and perhaps lead others to my savior, Jesus Christ. I am focusing on "What really matters" and hopefully, I can help others in some small productive way. While I am changing gears, I will still be throwing in random thoughts, recipes and etc. I am glad you stopped by and bear with me, as I begin to grow and span my wings and fly in a new direction!

Supper with Kallie and Evan..
We just love Evan!!!! He asked me early this afternoon what was for supper! I told him and he grinned and told me "We will be here!" And they were! He told me this was the kind of food he loved. Who wouldn't love pork chops, rice, white beans and ham and turnips greens??? He did not eat the t greens!!! I fixed buttermilk pie for D. Oh well, tonight's supper is not figure friendly but it sure is good for the soul!!! Love and peace to all------

Stormy Wednesday.....
We were lucky today that the storms were not any worse than they were. We had huge limbs down that required chainsaws and the troops. After work Mark, Kyle, Evan and Chase got our mess cleaned up and moved on up to Pa and Griggy's. They lost a huge pine tree. But the boys also cleaned it up and cleared the tree from their yard. Our electricity was off at some point, but only for a short time. I want to thank all the linemen that work sometimes thankless. These men risk their lives sometimes to help others. MES and maybe others have men in KY still working to repair lines and help people to get back to normal. I believe we are put on earth to help others and lessen their loads. After all Jesus, our perfect example, worked tirlessly to help others. There is no better example. Thank you to all who helped others today and everyday to make life easier. We have an awesome God, and the real news is not that we love him but HE LOVES US. Amen and Amen. Love and peace to all

Busy, Lazy, and So On....
The Ole Haley House has been-a-buzz lately. We have been doing the usual with a few surprises in the mix. Thinking about Project Graduation, prom, graduation, Louisville Tractor Pull, Pa Harris and my Mom, Griggy, not being up-to-par, going riding with the kids on the four-wheeler, (never.never, nev---------------er again, eating with D & D on Friday nights, fun, fun, cooking a lot, trying to rest on the weekends, not successful, wanting to be lazy, can't, wishing for blooming flowers, and hot lake weather!!!! That about covers it!!!
Everyone is busy!!! I am thankful that I am busy. This whole economy thing is scary. I trust that the Lord will take care of me and my family, but, I just can't remember the economy ever being like this, in my lifetime. I pray for President Obama, and for congress to put politics aside and do what is right to help many hurting people. Every day I hear of masses of people being laid off and I just wonder when it will end??? We have been cutting back on so many things. And we are making it fine without some things we just thought we had to have. It is funny how we think we cannot be without some things, and I learn I can. My family is so very blessed. We all work everyday and are healthy, and very thankful for our family.
Real hugs and kisses are our gifts to each other for V-day. What could be better than a smooch from ole Big Daddy???? aka Poo??? TEEEEEEEEEE HEEEEEE Have a good week-Love and Peace to all----

Over the Weekend....
We celebrated Reed Tucker's and Mike's birthday!!! I love getting together with family. The older I get I realize what a gift it is to have a loving, supportive family. I heard Randy tell Reed that this concluded his birthday celebrations, so he must have celebrated a lot. I know at my house it seems the kids have week-long birthdays. I cook their favorite meal, then we usually go out to eat and then to family get-to-gethers so it is a celebration. Reed has turned 11 and Mike is double nickel. I love both of them and hope they enjoyed being together as much as I did. We all went to Mike and Nancy's house. The food was great and it was good to see Jesse home from Lipscomb and Ross home from Freed. Ross told us exciting stories about his recent trip to NYC. Wow! This was part of an arts class he is taking. How great is it to get to go to NYC!!!! He was there when Sully landed the plane in the Hudson. However, he said you could not get close to it. Jesse is planning on going back to Honduras this summer and Ross will be working as well. They are special nephews, as is Chase.
